Panda Print

So I've been doing some large screen prints (a2) using found newspaper articles, where I've recreated the photograph by layering the text from the accompanying article. It's sort of an observation of 'filler' articles in newspapers - the ones that are just there to fill space with a pretty picture. I'm showing here how the few paragraphs of text that comes with them is totally inconsequential.

I think it's amazing they printed a newspaper article about pandas eating cake...

Paper bag

Making russian dolls out of a paper bag... just some mucking around. There was a really pretty pattern on the front originally, so I also cut out the in-between spaces.

Some more ink

Top: 2 A1 pages, left with tiny ink blobs, and the same blobs on the right aligned in the exact same places, but magnified and their outlines drawn in fineliner. (excuse the quality - the photo was taken at night.)
Bottom: A1, original ink blob (in the very middle) magnified again and again, using fine liner and calligraphy ink.

Hello 2012. Hello rocks.

Hello, art school. I'm baaaaaack.
This is project number one. It's a rock I found, made into a geometric net, made into an etching, printed, cut out, folded, and stuck back together. An inverted deconstructed-reconstructed rock.
